Aces Lose Lead Early in Defeat

  • Aces watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 4-1 loss to Yard Goats on Sunday. Yard Goats scored on a double by Raul Riera and a single by Rigo Franco in the second inning. Aces lost despite out-hitting Yard Goats eight to six.
  • Yard Goats got on the board in the second inning when Riera doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
  • Riera also led the Yard Goats to victory allowing eight hits and one run over nine innings, striking out seven and walking one.
  • Jeff Davidoff took the loss for Aces. The righthander surrendered three runs on six hits over four innings, striking out five.
  • Aces totaled eight hits. John Gredell and Xavier Arredondo all had multiple hits for Aces. Arredondo and Gredell each collected two hits to lead Aces.
