Arredondo Hits Walk-Off for Victory Against Cyclones

  • Aces took Sunday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 10-9 walk-off victory over Cyclones. The game was tied at nine with Aces batting in the bottom of the seventh when Angel Arredondo singled on a 2-2 count, scoring the game winning run.
  • Aces earned the victory despite allowing Cyclones to score five runs in the first inning. Martin MeloJakob Walton, and Stephen Kohan each drove in runs during the inning.
  • In the bottom of the sixth inning, Aces tied things up at nine when Andrew Stoler singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
  • Sean Gale was credited with the victory for Aces. The righthander allowed zero hits and zero runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one and walking zero. Andrew Garcia-Rameau threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
  • Shane Cox took the loss for Cyclones. The pitcher surrendered five runs on six hits over three innings, striking out five.
  • Jeff Davidoff started the game for Aces. Davidoff lasted four and a third innings, allowing eight hits and nine runs while striking out three.
  • Aces launched three home runs on the day. Davidoff helped himself by going deep in the fifth inning. Bret Davies added two to his total by hitting one out in the second and fourth inning.
  • Aces saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game. Davies, Stoler, and Xavier Arredondo all had multiple hits for Aces. Davies led Aces with three hits in three at bats.
