Vela's Walkoff Gives Hawks Victory Over Warriors

A walk-off single propelled Hawks to a decisive, dramatic victory over Warriors, 6-5. The game was tied at five with Hawks batting in the bottom of the seventh with bases loaded when Omar Vela singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. The game was called early due to time.
Warriors scored three runs in the fifth inning, but Hawks still managed to pull out the victory with two runs in the seventh inning.
Alex Felipe was the winning pitcher for Hawks. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out four.
Andrew Medrano started the game for Hawks. He went four and a third innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits and striking out seven.
Hawks saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Medrano and Will Roberts both managed multiple hits for Hawks. Medrano went 2-for-4 at the plate with 2 RBI to lead Hawks in RBI. They were also patient at the plate, collecting a total of 9 walks and only 5 strikeouts. Hawks committed only one error in the field and that came in the second inning.
