Hawks Grab Lead In Fourth Inning To Defeat Blue Wahoos

  • Hawks stole the lead late and defeated Blue Wahoos 12-6 on Sunday. Hawks were down 6-5 in the bottom of the fourth inning when they pulled away by scoring 3 runs.
  • Hawks earned the victory despite allowing Blue Wahoos to score six runs in the fourth inning. 
  • Hawks pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning.
  • Andrew Medrano was the winning pitcher for Hawks. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over two innings, striking out three and walking zero. Drew Figueroa threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Figueroa recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Hawks.
  • Matt Garcia led Hawks with two hits in three at bats. Will Roberts led Hawks with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.
  • Play seized after a three run Home Run hit by Jesse Acuna in the bottom of the 6th inning.
